BIOGRAPHY

I did ten years (1985-1995) in the Marines with some time overseas, as well as a deployment to Baghdad in 2007, but I make no claim to being a combat veteran.

I have been fortunate enough to train under some of the most respected firearms instructors in the country, as well as numerous others who are less prominent. I have distilled the best these instructors have to offer into my courses. 

I am an NRA certified instructor and all of my handgun courses satisfy the Virginia requirement for a concealed carry permit.

PHILOSOPHY

• Shooting accurately is a relatively easy to acquire mechanical skill.
• Shooting is only a subset skill of self-defense.
• Shooting skills must be acquired and rehearsed within the context of the realities of armed self-defense
